Global Standard is a non-profit organisation on a mission to ensure the highest level of positive social and environmental impact in textile value chains through voluntary sustainability standards and related activities. It believes in a world where all textiles are produced in accordance with the principles of health, ecology, fairness and care to enhance people’s lives and the environment. 

To achieve this, Global Standard owns and operates the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the world's leading processing standard for organic textiles, from fibre to finished product. In addition, it is developing the Global Responsible Textile Standard (GRTS), which is currently undergoing public consultation. GRTS is designed to set requirements for responsible practices across the textile industry, expanding the scope beyond organic fibres.
